Great food!!! And what an interesting atmosphere! Loved the decorations!!
Food is great, they serve large portions and you get candy when you pay. Service was nice but slow, even on a slow Monday night.
One of my fave places to escape the cold Sundays... Tried them out during lunch and dinner. Love the dime lights at the upper table in the'Grotte'. My fave are their Franconian Sauerbraten and the Duck with dumpling is a must! Not sure if they served 'Wirsing' but their Red Cabbage Salad (rather blue: Blaukraut) wasnt bad after all.
The food range is wide- but only typical Bavarian-Franconian Dishes, price is more than acceptable and the service is very very nice inspite the (unsual) fact that the owner himself collect the bills :)
Dirty, broken towels, toilet did not flush properly, noisy. Not recommendable.
Very bad service. Waited half an hour for the drinks. After an hour, 1 ordered meal out of 2 arrived. No more food came. Guests arriving later received their meal. When paying, they got excited that they had to cancel a meal and waited 1.5 hours for the meal and nothing arrived. Not even an apology. thanks for nothing
