This is heaven on Earth. Gloriously holy palace for a queen. Come here and sit and talk to your mother and you will find liberation and relief from your burdens. She is our mother. Listen to her and her son. She always points to and reveals her son. Amen.

Humble outside, story on story covers the archways. Inside a black and silver incarnation of catholic worship. But all in a size that brings god closer and does not distance the herd from the shepard, like in some pilgrimage spots...

Ok, very important religious place, commercial without end, but with great importance to the few still believing in fairy-tales

black Madonna is nice to look at, not too crowded

This is truly a Marina jewel and the Marian heart of Bavaria, including the centuries old Gnadekapelle which is the centrally located and small, somewhat darkly lit (but a gorgeous candlelight type of dark!) chapel with the primary object of focus and now ancient Madonna and Child statue which has had an impressive number of miracles, both those proven and those not officially proven attributed to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Jesus through it. I have 2 pictures of the the Grandekapelle and also others of the much larger Stiftspfarrkirche which stands adjacent to the Gnadekapelle. It is also simply exhilarating to stand in the Kapellplatz (Chapel Square) and take in the southern German views. The entire shrine has abundant areas within which to pray and reflect as well as opportunities nearby to do some Catholic religious goods shopping for devotional objects and holy souvenirs. I have now twice been here, and it is a peaceful and reflective experience. May your journey there be blessed!
