Wonderful ambience. The greatest library I have ever been able to visit.
Reading room in a historical setting, here you can breathe the history of many a book yourself. What more do you want?
Very nice helpful staff, selection of books on site very good. What is not there can be taken care of accordingly.

A legacy from the time when Coburg joined the state of Bavaria with a very advantageous contract that still co-finances a state theater as well as the state library.
In addition to borrowing books in the rooms of the Ehrenburg, the state library also offers the possibility of a nationwide interlibrary loan.
The outstanding ambience gives the State Library a very high-quality setting - the reading room is absolutely worth seeing and the service team is super-competent, friendly, helpful and can also offer the latest literature.
The selection of books is not exactly intoxicating, the service is even better.
To recommend to anyone.
