We stayed last year for 2 nights large clean room with an excellent breakfast. One should remember it is a Pension and not expect five star facilities. Good value for money.

Very bad was greeted by what can only be described as a very unhappy owner who grunted at us when breakfast was in the morning and stormed off. Went to our room to find it was not the room we booked; balcony with a view of mountain - instead we had a tiny window. In some trepidation after our first encounter we approached our host to explain. He stormed off to a small office near the entrance muttering loudly in German and thrust another set of keys at us and stormed off. No apologies no niceties nothing. I was scared to be honest and didn’t feel able to stay. I was so looking forward to my trip there and we drove a long way and I was gutted to be greeted by such an ogre. I just hope other people have s better experience.

Excellent place to stay. Budget friendly. Close to local amenities. Walk to town and railway station.

Fairly typical guesthouse in Bayern. Decent sized room and breakfast was straightforward if a little limited. Adding a star for the fleece duvet on the bed. Absolutely perfect for those chilly nights in the Alps. Speaking of which, the location of the Pension Lex is excellent for access to the local area and points of interest including the Königsee, the Eagles Nest and the historical town of Berchtesgaden. Check it out if just for those duvets. You'll appreciate them in the Winter months.
