I am a complete fan of the Montessori style and the Ansbach school team in primary school. You can hardly make school better. Children are looked after very lovingly, they are always encouraged to learn independently and they can be curious. And the more you are concerned with how children's brains actually work and learn, it is really strong how the Montessori School implements this. I also think it's great that children are not squeezed into a scheme and that it is shown that a child can be a child and can still learn very successfully. In Germany this is still surprising, in America you send children who have a good path to private schools such as Montessori and grad Montessori schools have had great success in the early years of school careers. In higher schools, the school systems then adjust themselves a bit, as it seems. Really exciting to read in a bit, just google it. The connection afterwards to the high school was easy, all other students also made the connection that they set out to do, e.g. Montessori Rothenburg or junior high school or high school. In addition, the school is "inclusive", dealing with children who have more needs is completely problem-free. Since a kindergarten group moved in, the range of children has become even more exciting and larger. In the breaks something is often done together. It is good for the children to experience "I used to be so small, how cute" and vice versa "Boah what the big ones can do, I want to go there too" For parents, especially if they are working, it is too pleasant. The children come home and there is no torture with homework, the children are full of energy and happy and you had the morning for your own topics, really relaxing for family life. It was hard to believe at first, but long school days relax immensely, and no, it is not too long for the children, it is really full. Nothing is more annoying than being constantly behind. "Have you already done this ..." It just falls away. So it is absolutely worth the money in my view. What was certainly not easy in the early years is the school playground, but as far as I know it is currently being embellished - also by the parents. And honestly: children find something to play with, they always find something! And that's great too. So they just played with fire beetles and built a hotel for material lying around or they can come up with something else, because there were just a few "playground equipment" ... That is also something like: parenting. You can see that laughing and crying, clearly parent work is a bit annoying, but somehow it does something good. It's also cool for the kids to see the parents lending a hand, volunteer. And of course there are people who do more and others who, let's say, "hold back a little" because they are privately tense and the difference in turn annoys others etc. But that's the way it is. In summary, I can say: A great start for the children. No question, there are many great elementary schools in Ansbach, for example the one in Eyb or the "evangelical" but for me personally the overall concept at the relatively small Montessori elementary school is an ideal place for children to learn and live.
