As a Wolkersdorfer you practically grow up with the Gasthof Metzgerei Drexler as an institution. The butcher's shop is well equipped and the service is quick and friendly. I also expressly do not want to rate the butcher's shop. The inn's current pick-up concept, however, is simply a disaster. We have now ordered several times for collection and only 1 of 3 orders was carried out as requested. Instead of ordering 2 carp only one. Ok it can happen I thought to myself. Then ordered 2x goose for the next day. Two servings were also charged. Back home only 1 serving. So apparently the staff can't count to 2 let alone 3. I won't order anything more there. Oh yes the goose was mushy and unfortunately had no crust at all. Looked like from the steamer. I'm going back to Schmidt in Katzwang, they can at least count.
Very good restaurant, great Franconian cuisine.
Very good food. We recommend
Franconian and Wolkersdorf sausages are underground. Hardly any fat in both and the Wolkersdorfer were also too salty.
Good meat and sausage assortment, great service.
