The chapel in honor of St. Hubertus was first mentioned in the Visitation Report of 1767. In 1862 she was renewed under Pastor Gomm, but not completed until 1869 and blessed. As a new patron she received the hl. Mother Anna.
In 1869, the Baron von Lorch from Ariendorf donated the altarpiece from the local chapel, which was built around 1480 by the school of Nikolaus Gerhaert von Leyen.
The figures of the altar are arranged as follows: Sitting in the upper niche Christ with the globe; he is worshiped by a benefactor. On the lower left, the Mother of God with the child on the left and a grape in the right. Right of St. Bernhard, a book in his right hand, a crozier in his left. On both sides of the altarpiece were formerly the two chapel patrons St. Anna and St. Hubertus, the deer at their feet. Both figures were made of wood and came from the 18th century. In 1873 a bell was present. At foundations existed in 1777 two years of memory. The revenue was 10 talers, the expenditure 11 thalers. In 1826 the capital assets amounted to 57 talers. 1840 were borrowed according to the calculations 30 Taler.
In 1958 the extension of the chapel took place. The financing of the construction costs in the amount of approx. 18,000 DM was thereby secured, because the village community Breitscheid waived the distribution of the proceeds of sold building sites.
In the summer of 1974, the grape Madonna, which traditionally dates from the 16th century, would have been the victim of a robbery in the summer of 1974, unless Breitscheider citizens had been so attentive and "energetic" that the art thief could be taken into custody.
