Its a small station with only 2 platforms. The most frequent S-Bahn is S6 which runs between Mainz HBF and Mannheim. Laubenheim is the second station from Mainz HBF after Romisches Theatre. It takes 4 minutes to reach Romisches Theatre and 7 minutes to reach Mainz HBF. Always try to reach 10 mins before every standard 30 minutes. Platform 1 opens towards the greater Laubenheim where you find most of the shops and resident villas. Platform 2 opens towards the smaller side with Sportsverein. There is a subway connection beneath the tracks between the platforms. Also there is a motorway subway around the station to go from one platform to the other. Generally the platform looks very clean except for few cigarette butts. For S6, you cannot book the tickets online but there is a Ticket kiosk with both card and cash facility outside the station on Platform 2 side. Never travel ticket-less on German rails. The language will be German and if you dont know it, reach a bit early and use google translator for the options or wait for someone who can help. (Believe me, People are really helpful in Laubenheim and everyone knows a little bit of English). There is also a cigarette kiosk with Cancer warning. Please dont smoke as it is dangerous for your health. You can park your bicycles on both sides of the platform but the cars only on Platform 1 side. Generally, there will not be any rush, only when trains are running late. Even the ticket kiosk will be free as most passengers use monthly passes. Also there is a Cultural Room on Platform 1. During rains, we have very little space to cover ourselves. So do carry an umbrella. Beware of the tracks while on the platform. Do let me know if this information is useful to you by liking the review.
