I found the regulation of the departmental library off-putting. Handing over your bag when you want to work is counterproductive. The glass front lets in natural light, which gives the main hall a friendly glow. Everything you need is there for literature, but the corridors are very narrow in places. I never came into contact with the employees. The main hall looked rather dreary to me, just gray and white. It wasn't very pleasant to work there.

Much too cold in winter, much too warm in summer due to the almost complete glazing. Heating or air conditioning you are looking for in vain. Bags should not be taken with you. There are carrying baskets to borrow, but the meaning behind it is not revealed to me. Drinks may only be brought in transparent bottles and only water, even a tea drink must be left outside (if it is seen at the entrance). Theoretically, jackets are also taken off the front. In the other libraries at the university there are no such regulations and the operation works flawlessly, except that the central library for lack of alternatives (also caused by the listed points in this bib) is totally overrun in exam phases.
