Kulturclub schon schön

To me this place represents an integral part of the city of Mainz. It has something to offer nearly every day of the week and attracts a wide range of people. It's open when most other places are closed and offers a nice balance between culture and commerce. Mondays you'll usually have live Jazz for free. Tuesdays are usually reserved for up and coming Indie bands from all over the world (also free of charge). The weekends make way for Techno/ House or R&B/ Hip Hop club evenings, attracting a slightly younger or hip crowd. I deducted one star for the allowed indoor smoking in one of the bar areas. Not sure why this is still a thing in Germany when the rest of the world already caught up.

It is a nice place to go actually only place to go. Not so wild but fun.

Good craft beer + great live music of all styles at times.

Good location, friendly service, decent decor. Prices are a bit steep though.
