I can't get rid of the feeling that he now wants to bind him to himself by telling what has to be done. If you get a 2nd opinion. Is e.g. the broken axle is not defective at all. Instead, when changing the gearbox, they "forgot" to replace the water pump as usual. So the new timing belts only lasted 20,000 km ... And the new clutch that he installed at the same time is now through. Was it bad quality ????
Left my car because a tire was constantly losing air. After 4 days, no obvious foreign body could be seen in the tire and I was referred to another workshop that had other options. (I should have mentioned that there were no repair options, so I don't waste 4 days). On the same day of pickup, I drove to another workshop, which immediately removed 3 large metal splinters that were even obvious to me on the lift!
