Seehotel Moldan

We had high expectations with all great reviews but coming there it was a different experience. Pool crowed with the same people the whole day, we couldn’t enjoy the good weather, no space available. Queue for 30 min to get barbecue for dinner. Dog menu is not included, and price is quite expensive for people without dog food, limited pool, both saunas off, after 6 pm the pool was free but full of dirty glasses and flies around them. Cobweb everywhere, I understand being in the nature, but there were huge ones from long time. Looks like it’s a hotel for a group of people and they have the most fun. Will definitely not visit this hotel again. Last problem was with no English speaking, at least not for us and as a hotel I would expect it.

An oasis for dog lovers, relaxed (very few restrictions) and excellent service, wellness and food.

The worst stay in my whole life!!! I went to this hotel to spend my birthday with my dog and after 6 hours driving from Zurich, I only expected a warm welcome, what definitely NOT happened!!! Instead a cold receptionist Sonja Rieger, who very robotic just said 'Welcome', and didn't greet my dog at all. I told her, this is my dog LUNA and she simply ignored!!! At that moment, I asked myself: ' Is this really a dog friendly hotel?!?!?! ' She explained my very quick breakfast time, etc but she was not courteous to answer my questions as I was asking too many questions, I sensed this very negative energy of someone who is doing her job without being committed of what the hotel concept is built, or should have built: RESPECT TO GUESTS AND PASSION FOR DOGS !!! Secondly, if this whole scenario wouldn't be enough, the owner come up and interrupted the check in to talk to her employee, looked at me and my dog and AGAIN, no greeting at all!!! At that point I just assumed that she was the owner as she entered in the reception but later on I heard from other guests that she seems to be very moody. When I asked both if it was ok to left my car parking in front of, where 10 other cars where parked, she (the owner) replied before her employee and said: No, you have to move out your car for the other side, otherwise they can't cut the grass.... Again, I was super tired after my long drive, and didn't hear any kind 'welcome' words as I entered the hotel and NO WARM greetings to my dog, that patiently waited until we get our room key. Later on, I went to the reception again to ask something, the same unfriendly, no-smiley receptionist was sitting there with a boring face, her name is Sonja Rieger, then I was shocked with her question to me: " I see in your form that you have birthday tomorrow, do you want some decoration in your table for breakfast?", Hey, PLEASE, COME ON, this is a NO-GOAL question to the guest. They new about my birthday since I sent them an email inquiring to book the room, I have mentioned that I will be there to celebrate my birthday with my dog. The owner Michaela Moldan was there at the reception and heard that question, saying yes, we have to ask that as there are some guest who don't like birthday!! Oh MY GOTT, if they would be an organized team, everybody working in the reception would know that I was happy to come there and celebrate my birthday... To be briefly now: Next day, my birthday, I came to the restaurant and no decoration was there for my birthday as the receptionist offered. On lunch time, I ordered an ice cream and for my BAD SURPRISE: I found a HUMAN HAIR in my banana split!!!!!!!!! I complained with the waiter, by the way she was a very friendly lady, but she said: Oh, ok I inform in the kitchen.... I mean, no training to answer the guest in a proper way if such bad things happen. - The same soup: Onion Soup was served at lunch time, again was warmed up and served in the dinner/salat buffet!!!! No guest pay to eat the rest of a warmed up soup from the lunch!!!!! I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT HOTEL. THE BAD LIST DOESN'T FINISH HERE but I'm glad that I drove back home and will NEVER BE THERE AGAIN. A VERY BIG DISAPPOINTING and fake propaganda!!! The hotel is very bad regarding customer oriented, only the green area is nice. DON'T BOOK THERE to go with your dog, you will regret!!!!!!
