My 84-year-old father's 500 km retirement move from Berlin to Rückersdorf should be done in an age-friendly, service-oriented manner and, because of the valuable family furniture, very carefully. A professional assembly of the furniture was requested and assured. It was supposed to be an all-round carefree move - but it wasn't! Result: - Furniture badly damaged due to the incomplete structure - A pensioner simply left sitting in a half-finished apartment - Two high carpenter bills to repair the damage, for which every compensation was rejected by Strohmann - A straw man invoice deviating by more than 150% from the cost estimate without comprehensible justification and recognizable additional effort, the operation of which was passed on directly to the debt collection agency without any willingness to talk to the injured client. - The disappointment of a straw man customer who was previously satisfied for many years and who had known the managing director personally for a long time about the completely indifferent and negligent handling of clearly needy customers and his own service promise. Update on the review from December 13th, 2020: Still without any offer to talk and without apology for the completely verifiable failures, my father and I were sent a cease and desist statement with a threat of legal action by the Strohmann law firm. This was justified with the allegedly insulting content of this and my father's review ?! What should have been offensive about these verifiable factual reports should every reader recognize for themselves from the consistently factual texts. Threats of legal action against factual and deliberately not anonymized reviews? A very interesting understanding of customer communication!
