The Schmidt Reiterhof also operates a restaurant and hotel at the same location, and the balancing act between animal husbandry and gastronomy has been successful. On the terrace you can watch the sunset in the evening. The waiter came immediately with the menu and gave us good advice. The menu is very straightforward, but daily specials increase the choice. We didn't have to wait too long for the meal. Everything was very well seasoned, you can call it solid, down-to-earth food (without taste experiments) at reasonable prices! The parking spaces are right at the restaurant, the paddocks are also within sight. The building complex is relatively quiet in a secluded location on the outskirts. Only the village road leads past and it is also right on the Elbe Cycle Path! Highly recommended if you really appreciate the rural idyll.

You sit great with a view of the Elbe, the food tastes great and is quickly prepared. The waitress was very friendly and not stressed despite the large number of guests. The selection of dishes is not huge, but there is something for everyone and the prices are fair. The playground next door, which borders the pony paddock, is great.

Simple rooms for overnight stays with shower, toilet and TV. Everything clean and in order. Breakfast is also very good with ham, cheese, butter, egg, coffee and juice. Staff very friendly too. Gladly again.

When we came in it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. So we are right out again. So can't comment on the service and food.

We have been here several times, mostly spontaneously stop by bike. We are satisfied with the kitchen, sometimes it varied with the service, because it is probably not so easy to find good staff. We received a very friendly welcome last weekend and would love to come back.
