Grotesque. Tasteless. No place to remember and pause.

The fence around the tomb with a cheap, unadorned hardware store fence is in memory of the great European and long-time Chancellor Dr. Helmut Kohl unworthy. A grave doesn't even have to look pompous to be dignified. High-quality materials, such as a bright tombstone with bronze cross and letters would be more appropriate here. At least the place of the tomb is very beautiful and invites you to commemorate and linger.

A great German and great European

Nice, simple, simple grave. What's important is what Helmut Kohl himself probably wanted. Just a simple simple grave of a hearty and down to earth person regardless of his merits and mistakes. But I also believe the 2019 version of his tomb will not be the last in history. Someone will need that politically (miss).

I was very amazed at the location and type. One can get the impression that the grave is partly in the cathedral chapter cemetery, partly in Adenauerpark. As an outsider, one can only guess which dialectical challenges had to be accepted (?). The grave itself is fenced, flower donations can be placed on the side of the grave on specially designated areas. The grave itself is kept very simple with a wooden cross and large wooden cover.
