I am referring to an article in the Rheinpfalz Zeitung: I find it very unfortunate that the Speyer tourist office has not made any arrangements with the owners of the parking lot at the old felt factory and Park & ​​Controll regarding the use of this area outside of business hours during Festive days (e.g. current pretzel festival) and thus external visitors who do not want to bother residents by occupying their few residents' parking spaces and for this reason switch to the empty parking lot at the old felt factory in the evening with a "visit penalty" of 30 € if they spend more than 2 hours at the party. If the city of Speyer wants to invite foreign visitors to its festivals and would like to benefit from their visit, it should think about how to accommodate these visitors. After all, the city also benefits from the income. The folk festivals on the fairground also increase the city's tourist appeal.
