I got great advice and hope that it can be implemented that way

I have a Mercedes SL and am thinking of installing a new radio. I wrote an e-mail including a photo and model of the vehicle. This was not answered for over 2 weeks. After a phone call, an appointment was made to "watch" and briefly expand the radio and "develop a plan". I'll be there. The employee just brought out good morning, took a quick look into the car and trunk and disappeared behind the counter again. After 3 minutes I asked if a coffee would be possible. "Yes, we can do that - it's running right now". Two minutes later someone comes out of the coffee kitchen with a mug in hand - I was kept waiting. After about 10 minutes I can go to the counter. An older employee then took over the conversation and explained to me everything that had to be done and that alone without a radio, at least 500 € would be due for parts such as the cover and expansion. The expansion alone would take 4 hours. I said that I had sent an email with a photo and model of the vehicle and why such an appointment was made with me. "Well, the young colleague must have made a mistake". Conclusion: communication is everything. Possibly a capable workshop, but not like this. It would be the most unnecessary hour of my life and 30km in the rain with my freshly washed Mercedes SL.
