Thrifty Muenster Downtown

We are stuck because the lovely brand new car, never been driven before decided to take a dump on highway 7. The mechanic who (after 3+ hrs waiting) said the engine was faulty to get a new car. Where? This place didnt have one, didn't care to get one & here I am basically stuck on the road. In all fairness though this whole company should be run out of business. US, Germany..everywhere are the worst of the worst

We walked away from this place. They wanted €60/day just for the bare minimum insurance necessary for the car we'd reserved to be street-legal. I rent a lot of cars in different European countries and I have never experienced this anywhere else. I'm not sure it's even legal for them to quote a price for a rental car without including the liability insurance. Alternatively, maybe they're trying to exploit customers who feel they have no option to walk away, and must instead pay this exorbitant price. Either way, I strongly recommend you look for a rental vehicle elsewhere. (Maybe there was just some miscommunication from the agent on duty, but if so it amounts to serious incompetence.)
