Elegant, but cold decor, nevertheless the ambiance is warm and friendly thanks to the welcoming behavior of both bartender and waiter. So, you can enjoy your meal in a comfortable climate. Prices are more than honest. Definitively recommended.

We were there for the first and last time. We had reserved a few days in advance and actually wanted to “celebrate” a birthday with five people. We were led to a kind of conference room that reminded us of a district savings bank in terms of color. The undecorated, bare tables weren't really inviting. In addition, various defects came to light when we approached. - Tables weren't wiped. Leftovers and glass rims could be seen on the tables. - Placemats were full of leftovers. -some of the chairs were so dirty, stained -whatever, so that we replaced them ourselves after the table had been assigned. The service staff was made aware of the defects. The table was then cleaned really poorly. Only the stains were wiped away, and the cleaning agent was sprayed on regardless of the cutlery lying there, instead of cleaning the entire table. A no go. The young lady was always really trying. Unfortunately, the common thread ran through the whole evening. The specially requested wine list was missing from the menu, the second glass to the large water bottle was brought some time later, ordered gluten-free food was provided with a puff pastry bag. The 0.2 carafe of wine was completely emptied into the wine glass. The positive thing was that they tried to fix the errors promptly, and there was a schnapps on the house. Thanks for that. Our conclusion: If one or two things do not go as they should, you can get over it, but if there is already a lack of hygiene, especially at this time (Corona), this is not to be excused. We hope you take the unfortunately not very positive criticism to heart. We were really disappointed.

Good buffet! We were with 11 people in the in-house restaurant of the hotel "Best Western Plus Aalener Römerhotel" because on the second Christmas day there was a special 4-course menu (soup, salad, main course & dessert). The soup tasted good, the salad was excellent, the main course tasted great, but with too many fish bones (minimal negative point) and the dessert was great again. The service is professional and very attentive. Read nothing to be desired. The good quality of the "Restaurant Adler" also speaks for the fact that it was fully booked that day. Would love to eat here again anytime.

The food was fantastic as always! Staff really nice and attentive. Thank you, we'll be back!
