Unfortunately, I just had some unpleasant experiences with one of the independent workshops. After I brought my car to Vetys GmbH in Cologne yesterday to have two new front tires fitted and an axle measurement done, I wanted to pick it up today. Already yesterday I explained to the employees there that there was a broken tire plus a hubcap cover in the trunk, as I had installed my spare tire at the front left and asked him to put the spare tire back in the trunk at the end. Of course, I assumed that the hubcap cover would also be properly attached to the new tires. When I picked it up today, however, I noticed that there was no longer any hubcap cover on my front left tire and that the employee from the day before was no longer with you. He immediately assumed that it was not there, although I had discussed this with him the lecture and he made a note of it. One of my covers on a rear tire also broke completely. I think we would certainly have found a suitable solution for both sides, but the said employee immediately went on a confrontation (which surprised me very much - I remained steady and asked for compromises, he got louder and louder). After several back and forth and several times ending the conversation on the part of the employee, he said only very sloppily "I should just order a new cover from Skoda and send him the bill, he won't argue about something like that". Apparently but yes ... I paid a higher price for the new tires and axles than I was told the day before. So the overall service was more than unsatisfactory ...
