Eat good and plentiful. Cozy and in the heart of the city, beautifully located, especially on market days.
Today we were in the old carter house in Essen. The decision fell on schnitzel with fried potatoes. Not only was the entire dish unseasoned, no, to top it off, there were fried potatoes from the deep fryer, which did not contain any onions or anything else. They were black, burned, and would have bitten your teeth off. I passed this on to the waitress to let the cook know. Unfortunately we got no feedback and had to pay the full price for this culinary catastrophe. In my opinion, something like this can always happen, but then you usually return the favor as a host to the guest. I am in Plochingen so much, but nothing like this has ever happened to me ... With a clear conscience I will not recommend it to anyone ...
We were there on Saturday evenings, had a nice drink outside. Nice restaurant and service absolutely super nice, attentive and friendly. The word service is not a foreign word there. 👍
Nice pub, nice staff, enjoying a coffee outside after a bike tour, what more could the Swabian want?
A very warm and cheap pub with excellent food and a very satisfying selection of good beer.
(The atmosphere in such a room would be much better e.g. with beautiful German folk music instead of the usual commercial radio pop hits that were heard during our visit ...)
