The store has parts on stock that other nearby bike shops do not have. It's a lot bigger than other bike stores in Weimar. However, I interacted with the owner and the staff, and they seemed condescending and not very friendly. Bought a used bike and the owner stated it was in good order, and didn't fix the rubbing brake pad despite mentioning it. If I had known less about bikes it would have taken me long to fix.

Hello, I was visiting Weimar and I entered in this shop to ask something regarding bike equipment (in English). I arrived to the main desk and after a while one seller approached to me. When I asked him a question (in English) just after a few words he stopped me with saying (in German): "Stop! We are currently in Germany, so if you would like to speak, you need to speak German!". I need to emphasize that I have been traveling all over the world and I have never experienced that brutal statement. I asked him whether somebody of younger sellers know English, so that I can continue discussion in English with them, but I think due to the attitude of this guy, they did not want to say anything. He just continue with saying "this is Germany...". Since that I come from smaller country which language this guy did not even herd of, I asked him (in English), "So, when you visit my country for vacation, you will speak my language, since according to you it should be in that way." Of course, he did not get the point since he need to first learn some general bon ton rules and then learn some foreign language.

Very friendly and competent team. Take plenty of time for advice. I really enjoy going there Update: 02.09.20 Today (again) we used the adjustment service for the children's bike. Went fix :). Always happy

What can you say about these guys from Fahrrad Hopf ??? Everyone relaxed and cool! The shop is always full and yet nobody is annoyed or unfriendly. Professional advice and top service !!! There is hardly anything like it today. The guys have a plan and love their job. Great team, everything is OK, can always be recommended. Bought 2 e-bikes and are happy !!!
