S'Limerick

Great variety of food and drinks. Atmosphere is perfect for a nice evening out with friends and family. Would definetly recommend going there.

The place is nice, beer is good, food is okay and there is no loud music. I really like it. However, I have one main complaint and/or warning. If you want to get a glass of tap water with your (not cheap) meal, you will be charged 3,50 € (labelled as "nothing" on the recipe). Frankly, I was not expecting it, so I did not check it in the menu in advance and the waitress did not say anything. I am used to be charged something small for tap water but 3,50 € is really extreme and I have never seen anything similar. I really hope they will change it. UPDATE - reply to the owner: I understand your concerns. But I would like to have a couple of suggestions: 1) Instruct your waiters to simply ask: "Are you sure you want just tap water? It costs 3,50 Euros per glass. You can get many different things instead of that." The price for the tap water is obviously a punitive measure, i.e. you set the price so high in order to motivate your customers to order something else, as you admit. Follows that if somebody orders it, it is probably by mistake. (Alternatively, just say that you don't provide tap water at all, same result.) 2) And even better: What about give it for free/small fee if somebody orders a main meal? Result in both cases: a happy and returning customer. I have had a couple of beers/teas in your place before and I was really happy there until yesterday when I wanted to try some food. In the city, where I normally live, it is completely ordinary to order tap water if you eat a meal - and it is free or for a small fee (under 1 Euro). And in many other cities and countries as well - and it motives me to visit these places more often and spend there more money. Imagine ordering automatically a beer in a new pub that you are not familiar with and then realising it costs 10 euros instead of standard 3-5 Euros. It was a very similar feeling I had with the tap water at your place. And I think, honestly, there are better solutions for your issues with people not consuming enough and staying too long (and I am not one of them, really).
