The upper register of their grand piano in the practice room was a little out of pitch. But the piano was all in all pretty good to play on.

It was a great experience to be in hte store. The sales person Mr Kemper was extremely professional, kind and knowledgeable. He guided us through the options and after 2 hours we finally left and happy with our decision: a wonderful Bechstein!

Yesterday, I had an appointment with one of Bechstein's Piano Tuners - Mr. Helle. His level of professionalism and his ability to explain every single step of the tuning process were absolutely stunning. Not only did he do a perfect job in tuning my piano, but he also took the time to check the mechanics and do maintenance work. My instrument sounds so much better now, playing has never been that much fun. Thank you for the marvellous work - can only recommend!

I was looking at options of buying my very first upright and considering Hamburg, Germany has so many positive options to find one, I was overwhelmed. I finally went to the C.Bechstein Centrum at Chilehaus and was positively struck by the showroom. The detailing provided to the Centre where each of the C.Bechstein categories are symmetrically placed, the options of pianos to try out and most importantly the warm and friendly service provided by Mr. Axel Kemper who's the Manager of the Centre. I called in advance to make an appointment and even though I had to wait for about 10 minutes upon my arrival, Mr. Kemper was very kind, knowledgable and provided sound advice depending on my style of playing. We also had a few questions he answered appropriately. Yes, the pianos here are quite expensive compared to the earlier ones/stores I researched, but you're going to get a 'complete' package right from advice, quality, efficiency and after-sales help here. Most importantly you could look at it as an 'investment'. We finally decided to buy/rent the C.Bechstein Academy 124 Style. What's also impressive is the 'practice pianos' at the Elbphilharmonie Hall are all C. Bechstein. You'll never compromise on the tonal depths and the sound bass that the C.Bechstein uprights produce! Overall, a very positive experience and if you're like me who has never owned a piano and looking to buy one finally, head here first. You won't be disappointed.
