The school is absolutely not recommended!
If lessons are canceled you will not be informed. When asked you get the answer "the teacher forgot."
After swimming lessons, the child is left in front of the swimming pool and we parents only find out an hour later when we cannot find our son at school.
In language training, we read komiks and cook applesauce.
In the schoolyard there are often fights, teachers and breaks supervision but not interfere! Break supervisor is standing far away in the corner, talking with coffee in hand. Children are left to their own devices.
Positive:
✓ We have been able to experience the college and the school management as friendly and cooperative. Questions are answered on the part of the teachers, taking their time, if possible, if we as parents need a conversation. Here, too, you notice the lack of teachers in Hamburg. However, we try to make the best of the situation.
✓ pleasant and bright interior
✓ There is a very nice school garden where the children plant vegetables and are grilled in summer.
✓ Lived integration during the lesson.
✓ The learning content is conveyed in a playful and child-friendly manner.
✓ There are various supervised afternoon activities, varying between the wood workshop, sewing, baking / cooking, sports, visiting the construction playground, music, play house, chess or simply romping around in the school playground
Negative:
✘ no public entrance for the disabled
✘ it happens that the entrance is closed. Unfortunately, the outside bell does not work, so that nobody actually notices that you are standing in front of the door. There is no knock on the door. So you stand there and wait for someone to come by in the school corridor to open the door.
Here I would like a functioning bell.
✘ There are one or two caregivers who, unfortunately, faced parents with prejudice several times. Worried parents are happy to be smiled at instead of competently accompanying them, especially in the initial "letting go".
✘ no neutral, religious attitude. The seasonal decorations and teaching media are focused on the Christian religion. For example, the entire school will be equipped with a Christmas tree, Santa Clauses, ect. Decorated, Christmas songs are sung in the classroom, Christmas stories are read aloud, Christmas pictures are made, and Christian classes are mainly dealt with in religious instruction.
Since it is not an ecclesiastical school facility, I personally would like more neutrality. For example, simply winter decoration, winter songs, winter stories. Christmas topics could instead be included in the religious instruction.
ATTENTION !
Absolutely not recommended. We were literally slandered by the School Directorate and the preschool tutor Mrs. Barbara Becker and Mrs. Tunc, harassed and made bad before third. The applicants and registrations for the German-Turkish primary school are decreasing year by year.
We also expressly complained to the Hamburg School Board about the very questionable state and philosophy at the school. Even the parents of various classmates of our child are very dissatisfied with the 'club' which scolds a bilingual elementary school.
Our child was 5! Classmates downright regularly humiliated and moped and Mrs. Becker has obviously noticed this from the beginning, BUT absolutely nothing against it! By coincidence, we got this a quarter of a year after starting school on a day trip and clearly communicated to the school directorate. Instead, Mrs. Kilicli began to finish us off with sneaky liars.
Take a look at the shop now.
As for the afternoon care / GBS is the management of Mr. Mathias Engels also under all sow. This man is also unprofessional and lying!
The only thing that caught your eye is the school canteen and the art and music floor on the 4th floor of the school building. The food at least tasted good to our child.
End of the story.
