AMERON Hamburg Hotel Speicherstadt

The check-in was very quick (we used the only check-in) and the concierge was very friendly and helpful. Very nice room although the bath room had no door - but the toilet had one. Nice view over the channels in the Speicherstadt. Everything very clean and the personnel always very helpful. Good breakfast. The Speicherstadt is quite calm and very safe and with a 10-15 min walk you can easily reach the city centre, St. Pauli, ... So I can only recommend to stay in the Ameron hotel.

Hands down one of the nicest hotels we have been to. The location is superb - Ameron is the only hotel located right at the UNESCO world heritage site Speicherstadt. 5 minutes walk to Ephilharmonie and 10 to Michel, just to name a few of the sights that surround this gem. This was our first trip with our little daughter and we enjoyed it so much. The hotel had a little present for our daughter waiting in our hotel room, which was unexpected but really nice. I mean who does that? We stayed at another hotel in Timmendorf after visiting Hamburg and they could not care less. The rooms are super clean, spacious and have a beautiful interior design. The design of the hotel overall is super sleek and nice. While walking to breakfast (I highly recommend to book it, it is worth it - especially their eggs and mushrooms and I don't even like mushrooms), you get the best views of Speicherstadt. The breakfast is hosted by Cantinetta in an old coffee rotisserie and their staff is the bomb.com :) Especially a lady, Mrs. Diebitz, who I assume is the restaurant manager, is super super nice. She went out of her way to make us and our daughter feel welcome. I would go back to the hotel in a heartbeat but also to see Mrs. Diebitz again. Highly highly recommend this hotel for your next visit to Hamburg. You will not regret it!

Clean, efficient, perfectly located in the Hafen city. We spent two quiet nights here and have no complaints.

They were very accommodating to our needs and the staff was super friendly. Decor was absolutely astounding. We loved the modelled ships and the art in the hallways. Thanks a lot we love you

Comment about breakfast service only. I’ve stayed at the Ameron for a week and after enduring quite frankly rudeness at breakfast service by the manager for 2 days in a row i feel this post is necessary. Today I arrived into the restaurant where at the time all the staff happened to be in the kitchen and the manager was not there to greet guests. Once he appeared he ask me to “wait over there (outside the entrance), and I come to you”, like talking to a child. He then goes behind his desk and calls me forward! Absolutely disgraceful behaviour especially there was nobody else waiting to go in. This is after yesterday when I arrived 30 mins into my booked 1 hour slot and the same manager took the effort to point out that I was there not at the beginning of my allotted timeslot. Both these instances totally humiliating. The good news is that his staff and the manager from earlier in the week deliver. As an example of the difference in attention to details on service, the breakfast manager from earlier in the week asks you about coffee/drinks as she greets you to sit you down. This manager, nothing, he goes to speak to one of his staff to do that.
