I went shopping in the store for 16 years, yesterday was the last time. A very old, frail lady was mobbed at the bread counter loudly through the whole shop because of a slipped mask that was somehow not wearing properly. I rushed to her help and was expelled from the alleged boss of the shop (whose mask was hanging under his nose). You shouldn't forget your upbringing because of Corona. Unfortunately, that is the case there. I will spread this experience in all of Endenich.

Ich gehe gerne in den Denns Supermarkt in Endenich einkaufen. Es herrscht eine große Auswahl an Bioprodukten. Außerdem empfinde ich die Einkaufs Atmosphäre als sehr angenehm. Die Mitarbeiter sind stets freundlich, höflich und immer hilfsbereit.

I've been shopping there for a long time, but what the owners have done as part of the VAT reduction (Corona) is really bold. Instead of passing the 3% VAT cut on to their customers, many product prices (e.g. almost all breads) are INCREASED by 3%. And from these 3% higher prices, a 2% discount is granted. The bottom line is that the products have become more expensive. The whole thing is crowned when you read the sign on the bakery counter in this context. It says: "Of course, we will pass the VAT reduction on to you in full". This process alone is remarkable. I do not even want to begin with solidarity with lower-income people, for whom the VAT cut is actually intended.
