My concerns were always dealt with competently and quickly.
I can't say anything about the phone because I don't call there. Submit my tax return and have the money in my account a few weeks later (this year it was just 3) without any questions. It used to take months in the ME district, so I'm completely satisfied.
In the past there was a clerk who was always very difficult to deal with when she was there. In the meantime, that has improved a lot, it is a different clerk, she is hardworking, does what she can, and the advice fits. I also have to praise the friendliness on the phone, although I am critical of the tax office. And especially in Corona times one can only be surprised that apparently only the tax office works in the city of Wuppertal, because they offer service despite the Corona service, authentication was possible without any problems, while the town hall closes the doors where the staff are hidden behind.
But you can clearly see that "number people" simply tick differently. Before that, I had tried to reach someone on the Wuppertal service hotline for 3 days, there was nothing except the waiting loop for minutes, contact person was not available, as I said, the tax office is doing a lot better.
