Unfortunately, I had a lot of trouble with the van rental. I have a very well-known comparison portal ordered a sprinter and also got a voucher and even a fixed appointment. When I arrived on time at Avis I found out that the car was already rented. They would have tried to contact me, but unfortunately they did not have my data. So the stress started. My appointment, what I needed the car for, was of course for a ... Avis says I have to deal with the comparison portal and the portal would be to blame. After a very difficult experience with several non-human phone partners, I actually got hold of someone from the portal. Which then told me that the people of Avis should write a short three-liner (that the car is actually not available). Just for confirmation. Then I am back to Avis, where I am then told with waiting that Avis never writes any notes for whoever, apart from that they are not allowed to. I would like to call the portal again and connect the portal to Avis. Easier said than ... After three more computer voices it was a very nice gentleman. Then he spoke to Avis. Unfortunately, no help or goodwill from Avis felt. The nice gentleman from the portal then created a complaint for me and ultimately even refunded the difference to the more expensive and apparently more competent Europcar. A lot of time wasted but it happens. Therefore Avis 1-star and comparison portal 4-stars
