Visited it as an activity during my Erasmus mobility in Kaiserslautern. Haven't paid much attention to what is actually there but we had a workshop with a very friendly lady. Nice place.

This is a small museum, with not many other visitors while we were there. It was very quiet, and the employees follow you from room to room - which can be a bit distracting. It gave us something to do while visiting family in Kaiserslautern.

Very small collection. Some large rooms contain nothing but a couple of pieces of modern art. As an average visitor with only a casual interest, I was left cold. I went on the free open Saturday, and still there were only a handful of visitors. In fact, we were outnumbered by the staff, which was sad and almost embarrassing. The staff were super nice and helpful, but you have to wonder what is the future of such an outdated institution as this. Just left me sad.

I was surprised to learn today, that in Germany, a single mother and her son is not considered a family. Me and my son had to pay the full 12 euro to get in because the family ticket of 10 euros was denied us because my son does not have a father. This upset me in so many ways.Mostly I think it is right to conclude that most single parent families have less money than families with 2 parents, so why should they not get the discount? I'm thinking the discount exist in tbe first place to enable families to enjoy cultural things together. This whole idea that only " mummy, daddy and child" is a family is out dated in 2017 and should be done away with. Would a gay couple with an adopted child get the discount ? If no, shame on you, and if yes, seriously?? A gay couple with an adopted child is more of a family than a mother and child? A widow and her child is not a family? Would it help if she went out and got herself one more child? Is 3 people a better family than 2?
