Gaststätte Birkenhain

We had ordered goose legs for 3 people on Christmas Day. These were delicious, but the red cabbage and Brussels sprouts were a little on the low side for 3 people. The food was packed very well to prevent it from cooling down, and overall it was also very tasty.

In 1999 we celebrated our silver wedding there. It was just great. Today I had a delicious meal there with friends again. The sour meat was excellent and the roast beef with the fried potatoes was also highly recommended.

Delicious. The staff, Bettina and Ute, always friendly and attentive. (The two are really cute.) Thorsten, the cook and owner of the birch grove, very good. We can only recommend Birkenhain if you like good German cuisine.

The food, especially the schnitzel, is great. A great price-performance ratio. The decor is rather very rustic and simple. Almost quaint, like an old restaurant. There is a separate smoking area and an outdoor area. There is also a small pond here.

Eat really a little too obviously greasy, but still tasty. Drain on paper towels or similar. would possibly help optically. But still really good food at incredibly low prices! Huge portions. Everyone gets full. Ambience a bit too dated, but takes a back seat to the food and the service of the exceptionally nice and cheerful staff. Seating with a view of the lake - unbeatable! There is more than enough parking space in front of the restaurant.
