Nice hotel in a nice quiet area! We rented bikes via Mosel Kanu Tours at a walking distance from the hotel and explored the surroundings by bike. With a 15 min bike ride you're in Cochem, which is a very nice village. Another nice village is Beilstein! The hotel was fine, breakfast was good (I preferred more warm options) and we booked a wine tasting but this was unfortunately only in German, we didn't understand a lot. But in general, we enjoyed our stay!

House guests are preferred here, very nice. Conversely, this means that you are obviously undesirable as a non-houseguest, which we have been given to understand unequivocally. When we (four adults and three children) wanted to eat coffee and cake during our visit on October 13th, 2020 and after waiting 20 minutes asked for the waitress, she appeared extremely annoyed at our wine barrel and threw the card with the words "House guests go up" on the table. OUTRAGEOUS!!! Honestly, ZERO stars.
