Very nice church to pass by

sweet church and even sweeter parsonage opposite

The church dates back to the 13th century and has both Romanesque and Gothic styles. I liked the covers quite well but overall I found the design in the nave a bit cheesy. Everything seemed overloaded, too colorful. The artificial flowers and plants disturbed badly and when I went into the small grotto (replica tomb Jesus) all kinds of cobwebs pulled over my face. Even at the window above the entrance, the cobwebs would have to be removed. From the chalkboard in front of the chapel I got the following information: vault of the pseudo-basilica. On the occasion of his wedding, Ritter Johann von Winneburg acquired the chapel belonging to the Dukes of Mainz in 1411 and founded a foundation for the construction of a "new chapel" as a grave lay, the completion of which is to be dated around 1440. The high choir room was built in the Gothic style and expanded the Romanesque nave.
