The small café in the bookstore Hugendubel in the center of Kiel has a cozy atmosphere. The selection of drinks is good: various coffees and teas and soft drinks. What I particularly like is the rich breakfast, which except for sausage everything else: rolls, butter, cheeses, jam, fruit and juice. The service is very nice. It's especially entertaining in this café because you can browse through its books for which you are interested. I have spent so many hours in this café and recommend it to anyone who is on the road with Hugendubel.

Got up with the wrong foot? Something good for the soul and now just no frustration in the Sophienhof or unnecessary hairdresser. Here is relaxation, read the super delicious, healthy breakfast announced. The Cafe Team supports the Wohfühlfaktor by friendly, relaxed hosting. Here is my personal favorite place in the Sophienhof. There are also very delicious, hearty hot snaks here. A bit hidden at HUGENDUBEL "the cafe".

Very nice cafe in the bookshop. Good selection of coffee and small plates and friendly staff. BUT - somehow there is a catch. 3.20 for a cappuccino run card. That still works, I thought and order one. The lady asked "big" or "small" and I ordered a big one. I got a "big one", quality was mixed. Little espresso in it, so rather milky, no really good cappuccino, no highlight. When paying the shock: The lady called "4.20" over the counter. And that without reasonable distinction. That is not how it works. And I'm not one of those who dig up on prices as long as everything fits together. Nope, not 4,20 for such a cappuccino. After my demand "4.20 €" there was only a "well" or something. I can not rate the food. Conclusion: not worth repeating for me. Price / performance poor. Recommendation: Conditional, interesting location, quiet, comfortable - but that alone is not enough for a good cafe.
