Can't understand all the criticism down here. Personally, I have never had bad experiences with the Warendorf tax office. Very friendly and helpful for over 16 years, also on the phone. Documents are processed in a flash. I just had a very friendly, constructive conversation with a young clerk who dealt with my objection (Elster-Online) within a day.

The worst tax office in Germany! I can only recommend everyone if it is somehow possible to choose another tax office. The employees are completely incompetent and unfriendly. Slow work is the order of the day. I've been waiting for my tax number for over 3 weeks (!)! A matter with other tax offices, e.g. B. Münster, takes only 3 to 4 days (!). Even my tax advisor says that everything takes two and three times as long at the tax office in Warendorf as in Münster. An impossibility. When asked by phone, my request was not only downplayed and dismissed as "not my problem", I don't feel taken seriously, especially as a businesswoman! Actually, one should think that something like this should no longer occur in the 21st century and women should support each other instead of putting obstacles in each other's way, but the Warendorf tax office apparently has not yet arrived in this century. The unfriendly employee also informed me that it would take 4 to 6 weeks to process an application. Where can you find something like this? !! When I asked how you imagined what I was going to live on for the next few weeks or months and pay my bills, because I could not write my customers bills without a tax number or they could refuse to pay, she said only "I am not asking myself anything I’m only processing requests ". But that is exactly what the lady does not seem to do, otherwise you would not have to wait for weeks. "And the more time I spend discussing, the fewer applications I can process." It couldn't be more unfriendly. Furthermore, the lady could not even tell me how many applications were still ahead of me and how long I had to wait (days, weeks, months?). The renewed objection of what I should live in time was dismissed unkindly. Maybe we have different ideas, but I think if you start your own business, you do it to make money immediately and you can't wait 3 months to get a damn tax number and live on savings or air and love. After all, we also have to pay bills! In my opinion someone like that should be fired and should look for another job. After a conversation with the head of the tax office, who incidentally also believes that processing an application cannot take 3 weeks, the lady has probably received the well-deserved ass kick and contacted me today. I still haven't received a tax number, but at least she was able to tell me that 10 applications had to be processed before mine. At least something. Of course, she didn't take me seriously this time either and I felt treated like a little child who would be too stupid to understand her situation. But it is she who does not understand or cannot understand my situation. I can only urge the head of the service department, Mr. Berger, to look for new, more competent and friendlier staff and to sack the lady urgently, because she is clearly not suitable for the job if she feels overwhelmed with a few applications ...
