Cafeteria prices completely overpriced. Some teachers give way too many sheets of paper (think about the environment). Rewe in the vicinity. The old teachers should go into retirement, they can't anymore.
I am a student at this school myself, everything is actually good, but we have more than 10 corona cases and the school is still not closing. But Mr. Koc, Mr. Lupo, Mrs. Lemm, Mr. Ehm and Mrs. Horbach best Leher vallah
Good healthy school, cafeteria at a good price👌
Vallah cool but chocolate rolls now 10 cents more expensive
I think the classes are okay, like most high schools. Some teachers are nice, others are not, but that's nothing special and is guaranteed to have something to do with personal sympathies and the like.
What bothers me, however, as a really long-time student here (I'm doing my Abitur (G8) next school year) is an omnipresent kind of “nice oppression” and a terrible double standard.
The headmaster, Mr. Kremer, who has been here for a number of years, is doing a few things right for the school, but has unfortunately also made some significant mistakes:
- Teacher room principle: In the school year 2016/2017, the teacher room principle was tested for the first time for a school year, so that it could replace the previous classroom principle. In the former, the rooms are not assigned to classes but, as the name suggests, to one or two teachers (often joint class teachers). I do not list the respective pros and cons here, as this would cost unnecessary space, but it is on the one hand conceivable and on the other hand easy to find out on the Internet. After a year of probation, they didn't even ask the students (at least not my grade) and started a second year of probation. Shortly before the end of this, a survey took place in which over 90% of the student body spoke out against the teacher's room principle and in favor of the reintroduction of classrooms. Nevertheless, another year of probation was given. At the end of this, another survey was made, in which this time almost 95% were against teachers' rooms. Now the principle is firmly established and almost the entire student body has been ignored.
The double standard part unfortunately manifests itself in a kind of ... you could call it greed, for prizes and awards. Nominations for the prize of the best school in Germany, prizes from foundations, support associations, all kinds of institutions, campaigns and offices hang in the administrative aisle. Accordingly, the school / school management attaches great importance to tolerance, which should also be reflected in the school's motto "Unity and Diversity" of the Norf high school. The right and the individual worth of every single person and speaks out strongly against racism. However, since this is also evident in teaching by teachers, among other things, it is questionable how seriously these statements are actually meant.
If fundamental rights such as equality, freedom and similar things are to be represented so strongly, how can that be compatible with the suppression of 95% of the student votes is the question.
Anyone who speaks out against this kind of injustice at the school and is not ignored by the school management, especially if he / she is in the lower grades, is intimidated with various terms such as school conference, disciplinary proceedings or written disapproval. Even if none of these measures would be both appropriate and permissible for objective, simple expressions of opinion, the school usually manages to silence individual voices.
So if you don't care about the social circumstances and the (especially opinion) rights of the students, you can send your children here with a clear conscience
