White desert and the currywurst a must when in Rosenheim. For years, always good condition and advice for customers. "White sausages" aren't hot enough!
As always when I'm in the pedestrian zone in Rosenheim (surrounded by beautiful, respectful of history, well-preserved merchant houses from around 1900 on Max-Josef-Platz, near the Heilig-Geist-Kirche), I stop "Angerer's Würstlstand" and treat me to a currywurst with a roll for € 3.50.
When the weather is dry, I eat these with relish on Ludwigsplatz on one of the careless benches at the foot of the Nikolai Church. I can mostly block out the traffic from the adjacent Königstrasse (main thoroughfare), but it would be nicer if the city planted a sound-absorbing hedge there, which could also provide a little more oxygen and coolness in summer than just the stone floor.
Back to the currywurst ...
As a native of the Ruhrpöttler ;-) I know how a good currywurst should taste. And this is definitely one of the best here in Bavaria. :-) ... Take the red one, it's spicier.
