Top bookstore! Always worth a visit. Helpful staff. Books that have been ordered are often there faster than with the major supplier with an "A".

Shopkeeper absolutely rude! Today I went to the Dienstbier bookstore to pick up a book that was first ordered by email and then by phone. Unfortunately, the book could no longer be found. This is a Christmas present that has meanwhile sold out at all (online) retailers. While the staff were looking for the book, the shopkeeper, Mr Dienstbier, kept interfering with unqualified remarks, only to then quickly say goodbye, pointing out that he was so busy. Mr. Dienstbier and his colleague were irritable from the beginning and this became more and more acute during the entire conversation. Then there was no way to find out whether the book had been sold to someone else or whether it had been sent to me. There was great chaos! The employee then made the remark that there was nothing more he could do, after all, he had been working since 6 a.m. He left me and sat back at his desk. I remained speechless and very angry in front of the counter! Above all, I was annoyed that I had been promised to put it back on the phone, at that time I could have got the book online before Christmas. However, it was important to me to continue to support regional trade, especially this year. The absolute highlight, however, was how I - while I was standing in the till to buy another book, had to overhear loudly for the whole store how Mr. Dienstbier complained about an outrageous customer, although this was the only mistake that was they underwent during the Christmas business. When I confronted him, he snatched the green shopping basket from the bookstore from me and asked me to buy elsewhere, not without pointing out again that this was the only mistake in his shop in the Christmas business so far. When I left the shop, he again complained to a customer about me and my behavior! Mr. Dienstbier behaved like a kindergarten child here! I am already wondering who did wrong, Mr Dienstbier did not apologize for the entire duration of the shop. Only the employee had initially apologized briefly. Already during the first lock down phase I ordered a book as a birthday present and wanted to have it sent to a different address (the corresponding entry in the online form was of course made). Unfortunately the book was sent to me. The birthday child received the book 4 days late. Justification of the bookstore at the time, I should have entered it again in the comment field. So I very much doubt that this was the bookstore's only mistake !! Then I went to the other Laufer bookstore, where I was treated and advised courteously! The Dienstbier bookstore will never see me again! It's a shame, until today, I really enjoyed shopping here! At this point I can only advise everyone else against it, but rather recommend the big online A. The bookstore Dienstbier does not seem to be afraid of online trading!
