Nice Church building with beautiful monument

Special church from outside. Polished away too much by plastering. Organ was played.

This Gothic church is located in the middle of the city of Mayen. Particularly noteworthy and, to my knowledge, unique, is the crooked steeple, one of the landmarks of the city of Mayen. The tower is turned and the covering with slate is a true masterpiece of roofing art. From 1973, the church tower, the church destroyed in the war was rebuilt. There are many legends around this unusual, leaning, turned church tower. Absolutely worth seeing, also from the inside. Church is not constantly open to visitors
