St. Elisabeth-Krankenhaus

My 87 year old mother fell and could no longer walk without help. In the emergency room she would be brought back to me after half an hour with the statement: she can walk, get her a walker. I took her to Cologne. Today she is being treated for a stroke. Unbelievable, nobody thinks outside the box.

I can definitely only recommend the births and children's ward. Unfortunately, I had to have a spontaneous caesarean section and that was relatively late in the evening, but I was welcomed very nicely and calmly there and the operation was also super quick and without problems. After that I was in the hospital for 3 days and could be discharged with a clear conscience because everything was healing well. The scar was sewn up really well, as a big thank you to the doctor. It has become super narrow and fine, so that it can hardly be seen anymore. The little one was also well treated and cared for. The midwives were always there for you even at night if you asked or had problems, so all in all I felt very comfortable and secure there.

We ended up at the DHL packing center instead of the children's ward. Our 2 year old son was treated like a package. I think that says it all!

Absolute disaster. The worst thing I've experienced here is a waiting time of over 8 hours. I went there with a friend in the evening and drove him home again in the morning. The lady at the reception is rude. The doctor gave himself plenty of time, even after he said that he only had to print out the prescription, did not come back for over an hour. Did he build the damn printer himself ?! There was a nice younger sister and a lot of rude ones.

I sat there in pain for 4 hours and still couldn't get it. Somebody else was being called. I drove home. I cannot recommend it.
