Welling Dorfplatz

A beautiful place, which probably not geographically, but with its location between elementary school, bank, fire brigade, kindergarten, cemetery, community center and sports facilities actually marks the center of Welling. Until a few years ago, this little piece of earth eked out a rather inconspicuous existence as a parking lot. The construction and design measures that have been carried out since then may not be to everyone's taste, but they always give the place character; An effect that can also be seen in the fact that the adjacent play facilities are actively used in the afternoon and the remaining space is also accepted by the village youth as a central meeting point and place to stay. For non-residents, the square should be a starting point for a visit to the Nette-Schiefer (dream) path or something similar - and as such it certainly fulfills its purpose. Rather, the visitor is once again easier to find his way around on a large information board in the vicinity and, last but not least, he is also presented with the (few, but no less interesting) sights in the locality itself, some of which one can without on the way to the hiking route big detour can happen.
