Our 86 year old slate roof of our villa has been renewed and provided with a softwood fiber insulation. Decisive for the awarding of the contract was that with roofer Fiebiger we agreed to carry out the roof covering with consideration of the original appearance and the insulation with softwood fiber boards. (The insulation is optimally successful!) The troughs and downpipes as a gooseneck were rebuilt by roofer Fiebiger according to the original form. Outstanding was the agreement with other craftsmen: with the painters, who redesigned the wooden cornice under the roof, with the carpenter, who renewed the dormer windows, and with the scaffolder. It was gratifying that we always received comprehensive information about the work to be carried out and were therefore always involved in the renewal process. Beautifully executed were the arches leading to the dormer windows. That's great craftsmanship! With how much attention to detail some slates were made, show u.a. the two hearts in the slate, the roofer Fiebiger has incorporated between the dormer windows of the front. His suggestion to restore the original type of slate covering on these dormers (squares with small slates on the top) has been realized. The price for this special service was very low. To praise is also the very careful repair of the two terraces including gutters. Overall, we are very grateful for the excellent slate cover that we admire every time we look at the roof.
