I have already gained experience with Lev Krymtsov making music together. This is a competent, extremely capable musician. Through practice lessons with him, which were supposed to prepare for performances, I learned a lot from him in the musical sense, despite the fact that I play another instrument (here clarinet). If you really want to learn to play the piano and don't just want to be “spunked” in order to be able to play the piano somehow, you've come to the right place. Because you can only learn an instrument from personal experience with a lot of discipline and primarily with a competent teacher who sees what you need, corrects and motivates, which I can definitely say about Lev Krymtsov. Hence 5 stars from me

Piano lessons for all who really want to learn something! For 4 years I was a very satisfied student of Lev Krymtsov and really glad to have found a competent piano teacher then, because this was already my third. Unfortunately, the first few years (when I started playing the piano) I missed the basics of technology. However, especially the young beginning years are very important to acquire the right technique but also other important musical skills, such as rhythm and tact. This also requires discipline, which a teacher should definitely teach the student. If the foundation is not laid, you will later have problems and habits that are disturbing and difficult to eradicate. Especially with the great pieces that are just more difficult, that's very important. When I came to Lev, I already had some wrong techniques solidified. But I was amazed to see such results in such a short period of already a few months! Lev has brought my level to a significant level over the years. I noticed that not only in my technique and style of play, but also in the pieces that seemed impossible in the past. The ear training and the practical exercises made music theory especially fun. I think it is incredibly important as a musician not only to be able to stupidly "play down" notes, but also really to understand how one might even compose something or why composers write pieces in the way they do. All in all, Lev's honest nature and competence (which I was privileged to experience up close and personal at some concerts) has kept me awesome. So if you really want to achieve results and want to invest his money meaningful, I can only recommend it! Therefore definitely 5 stars !!!

Unfortunately, absolutely no recommendation for small children. My daughter had been looking forward to this "trial lesson" (15 min for 10 Euro) for days. Once there, their joy changed relatively quickly into absolute uncertainty and helplessness. It was our aim here to give her some fun playing the piano and introduce her to a piano. Unfortunately this was more like an interrogation. My daughter was turned away by the piano teacher and had to answer many unfamiliar questions about notes and other things. For her, the first time in contact with this was an absolutely stupid situation. She was then allowed to touch the piano once with her fists on it to play a "flash". After that, it was interrupted directly, saying he had seen enough. Then, for me, the worst part of our short visit was when he said in front of my daughter, several times, he did not need to see anything anymore, he is sure she can not do that, she has no tact and that can not be done and so on. I then paid directly and said goodbye because I already saw the tears in the eyes of my daughter. Actually, I wanted to do something good for her and strengthen her self-esteem a bit, which unfortunately was a great shot in the oven, because for a child that was an absolute horror performance that rather destroyed her self-confidence instead of strengthening it. In my years of experience in working with children, I have rarely met anyone who has so little feeling for children. A pity. So piano lessons with Mr. Krymstov is really not recommended to anyone with children. Unfortunately, I had to post a star to upload, although I'm clearly 0 stars here! want to give.
