Crazy experience. Absolutely not recommended.
Great school with great teachers and a pleasant atmosphere.
Actually not even deserving a star, the AfK is a very bad school. They also sell you a Mac that you pay in full and still do not have full access rights and the Adobe programs were bought once (2014) and distributed to all students, I updated my Mac last year and all of the programs can no longer be opened. Now that I have reset it, I can no longer use it because the AfK has set a firmware password. Now I can no longer access my own (fully paid!) Mac at all. Thank you AfK -.-
No words.
I really don't know what else to say, most of the constructive negative reviews are absolutely justified. Unfortunately, I can only share my experiences in the foreign language area here. I don't know how it looks in the other areas. I don't go into the teachers themselves, they were mostly really positive, what makes the school so bad are the professional leaders / contact persons for the respective area and the headmaster. If you want to register for the school, no matter for which area, you have a preliminary talk with the respective '' profile leader '' '' At the beginning I was a bit unsure because of the mostly negative reviews here about whether I should go to school here later I realize why. At the interview you will be promised things that will not be kept, all of this is only told so that you leave your money with them, because no matter how bad your grades are, you will be accepted as long as you pay your monthly fee. Since I didn't rely on a laptop with the respective Adobe programs because you don't work with it in the foreign language area, the contribution was relatively `` cheap '' compared to the others, but you have to buy your workbooks from the books yourself, what I don't understand at a public school you can get it again without paying anything. Otherwise everything was great, even if I think that the timetable could have been divided up a little better (subjects + hours), which one regularly has 6-8h in the week and not 3h on one day and 9 or 10am on the next, and not yet one day 6h business studies and then another 1 German or so. and the headmaster is one of the highlights at the school with others, When the open day is all students have to be present, I couldn't be there because I still work on Saturdays and I have planned my vacation long before the open house I wasn't alone, we then had to go to the headmaster and sign off personally, first of all he couldn't understand why we couldn't take time off or take a vacation on the day that we work at all, according to his statements and his nature as he spoke. Then we all showed our employee cards because he didn't believe us that people would actually work on a Saturday, of course that wasn't enough and we had to print out our duty roster and show it to him the next day.
Due to reasons that remain private, I am sick and had a lot of absenteeism, then I had a conversation with the professional leader because my illness meant that I was no longer able to attend school and I missed a lot of material, and I've never experienced that was constantly hacked around it like that can be etc. made me downright reproach. It got so far that I broke down emotionally. I'm really not built in the water, but if someone hacked around on a permanent and literally put it down, hopefully it will be understandable somewhere. About 1 1/2 months later there was a class trip that I started because I paid for it anyway and that was discussed again with a doctor, we were with another class who was also in the foreign language area and that was the culmination of the class teacher from the other class were our supervision, they didn't give a damn about us, and the hostel was also the biggest rubbish and dirty, the other class was actually mainly preferred we were just ballast for them. When we were there, I was told by my classmates that the profile leader was telling my health status freely in the class, that was all over for me, I assume that teachers are also subject to a kind of confidentiality and I find it one Mess that personally entrusted things are simply told around freely.
Final conclusion:
You are definitely in better hands at a public school than the AFK, because you save a lot of money and annoy yourself.
Unfortunately, I really cannot share these opinions here, on the contrary! Very good teachers, to whom the pupil is important as a person - and these teachers take much more care of you than at other schools! I would advise everyone to register there!
