Unfortunately, some women in this shop have no experience in dealing with customers or have been trained accordingly, otherwise I can not explain this very unfriendly and harsh tone of some "mature" women. If you want to make donations, some women feel like they are supplicants. It is a pity that you dispel donors and customers and that the good project is affected.

For many years my wife has given good, worn textiles to Oxfam out of conviction, which they have gladly accepted in the past. The things are high quality and all washed and cared for. We have always offered to pick up textiles if they are not for sale. Today it was time again, there were some good textiles that my wife would like to give: The call today to a woman L., who claims to be responsible for the business, leaves me stunned. Ms. L. was hesitant: "... we only accept summer clothes because we have limited storage capacity ...". Yes, I can understand that, but even in today's telephone conversation, I offered to pick up textiles again. In the past, my offer was never used, apparently everything went away with a "kiss hand". Unfortunately, the corona madness with the crude "logic" does not stop at Oxfam either: Ms. L.: "We can only accept goods through the entrance to the Bonnerauer Strasse customer center because our volunteers should have minimal customer contact through the back entrance (Herdentorswallstrasse ) we cannot accept goods. " How much more "protection" from the COVID-19 virus does one have if the rear exit is not used? Note: The Knochenhauer Straße is also closed to cars! For people who want to donate, hurdles are still created with a logic that no normal person can understand. How can you better protect your volunteers with such a stupid "rule"? It is absurd. For years I have only had contact with a lady at the back entrance, so "minimal contact" in the Corona style, to whom I have handed over the goods from the trunk of my car. Of course, I would have put on a "mouth and nose cover" when handing it over. I am always for sensible measures, but this nonsense knocks the bottom of the barrel. It is very interesting to see what "creativity" people develop in "Corona times". For us it definitely means: never again textiles or money to Oxfam.
