Enterprise Rent-A-Car - Flughafen Bremen

Pretty bad experience. Had a dispute with them about minor damage to car wheel rim. Wouldn't have been an issue under normal circumstances as I have insurance to cover it; however, after several emails/phone calls, they failed to provide either proof of damage or invoice for repair! Even so, they took the excess off my card (over £800). Eventually, Enterprise refunded my card as a "goodwill gesture" but never provided any photos of the damage. The car itself was good but the approach to the issue left much to be desired.

I am from Bremen Germany. I had a very bad experience with Enterprise car rental at Bremen Airport. I booked for a SUV automatic car for 5th saturday (October 2019) 9:30 am. I made the booking on 4th Friday around 13:00. I paid online and got a confirmation for the reservation(with confirmation number). When I was at the airport with my friends (one of my friends had a serious leg injury) the lady at the Enterprise counter told me that I have a problem. I do not get the car because the car is not available. For me, this is not my problem, this is the problem of enterprise! They showed online that the car is available, they took the money and gave me a reference number confirming the reservation. I showed her my booking confirmation, then she told that it is just a booking confirmation and that doesn't mean that I will get the car. She said, she is offering me two options, option 1) A very small manual car (she said me the brand name, I clrearly did not understand. Then rudely she was asking me "are you listening me?") option 2) Come back later.I asked her later means what time. She said around 6:30 pm! I said, these two are not options to me because the first option I cannot accept as I have a friend who had diffculties. I need a bigger car. Second one is not an option because you are asking me to come back after 9 hours! If it is half or one hour I would have accepted. In this case, please refund me the money. She said, I may not get the money back because I am not accepting the options she offered! I got really embarassed and I said I need my money back. She said, she may ask her colleauges but less chance to get the money back! I am an Enterprise customer for last 4 years in USA. I took several cars for rent from them. In USA they were very very decent, polite and excellent customer service. Even it happened that they didn't had the car I requested. All those times, i got a better car with free upgrade. That is why in Germany, when I saw Enterprise there, I decided to take car from Enterprise only. But this experience was very bad to me and spoiled my whole day. Then we decided to call different Enterprise location to tell this issue. The guy who took the phone was nice and kind. He told he will request for the money refund. Hope I won't lose the money.

All good quick and easy booked in advance just had to pay at the airport

Rented a car from Enterprise at Bremen airport and dropped it off in Lübeck less than 24 hours later, never noticed any damage before departing the indoor garage at the airport or for the day we had the car but these scratches ended up costing me €1000. Whoever had the car before me had used black felt-tip pen to cover these scratches and I ended up being the sucker to pay for the damage. Worth noting though the the Enterprise guys at Bremen airport presumably never noticed it either as nothing was noted on the rental agreement. The blind leading the blind... The money for this was debited from my credit card almost immediately and yet it was weeks before I got any feedback from the company. A valuable & expensive lesson learnt and definitely won't be using Enterprise again in any country.

Cars are good. Cannot comment on the customer service yet.
