Neuer Lebensraum für Tiere und Pflanzen

A joint project was created here by the Bremen Dyke Association on the right bank of the Weser in cooperation with the Senator for the Environment, Building and Transport and the Citizens' Park Association. The area of ​​the pond with two islands creates a new habitat for flora and fauna. A lush vegetation of rushes and reeds has settled here, which offers nesting and breeding grounds for numerous bird species. No official access route has been created in order to guarantee the calm of the numerous animals and to allow the vegetation to follow the natural course.
