Always worth a dive. From 3m visibility of 5-7m.

A nice place to enjoy nature. A TRIP DESTINATION for cyclists. The Kuhgrabenweg is ideal for skaters, walkers or cyclists, here you have a wide view of the nature reserve

The Kuhgrabensee is an excavated lake in the southeast of the Bremen district of Blockland and was created in 1970/72 as part of the BA / 27 motorway construction. The Kuhgraben that runs past to the east is the traditional border between Blockland and Hollerland. Observations of the lake are only possible from the Kuhgrabenweg and Mittelweg. There is only one accessible "Kuhgrabensee" bird observation site that is accessible. The observation area "Mittelweg" is not accessible due to the barrier (see pictures on Google Maps). The lake is registered with the EU as a European bird protection area. Whistling, stick, table and tufted ducks, and crested grebe rest, breed and hibernate here. Recently also pale geese from Siberia and gray geese from Scandinavia. Cormorants have discovered this piece of earth for themselves.

Nice lake and not too busy. Birds can also be observed at the right time of year. Unfortunately there are only two viewpoints. The rest of the shore is a nature reserve.
