This is a regular jugendherberge. It serves a decent breakfeast, with brötchen and sanwitches. The rooms are small and it's not meant for you to stay in there for a long while. The view of the local river is nice or very little depending on what room u get.
Overall it's a very nice atmosphere. The staff are very nice.
But as overnight school trips are mandatory in germany, there can be lot of young people around. Witch means that the jugendherberge never sleeps.
We had a lot of fun with our choir trip in northern Germany and the youth hostel was the perfect place to relax after the concerts and rehearsals.
There was always plenty of food and the staff was super nice. I can recommend it!
Were there in June 2019 with my soccer group. One word: DISASTER
The room was found neatly when I arrived, but completely dirty when I wanted to climb on the loft bed. The bedside table full of chips and in the beds? Lots of ants is not right for a youth hostel, nor could you ventilate the fly nets had cracks and were full of insects. 2. The food was actually quite good, but most of it consisted of cheap baked rolls. 3. Staff: Hardly seen but when it was mostly nice, all in all I still don't recommend going there
A somewhat dated youth hostel, but clean and tidy. Really nice staff, very flexible. I felt very comfortable there.
Aged youth hostel. Absolutely small rooms (2 people) without shower and toilet. Breakfast with 2 types of sausage. Cheap cheese and bread rolls. Bread from the freezer - was still cold. Quality and choice under standard. Nothing to do with today's level of youth hostel. But the price is very low. But whether that is a good concept! ??? Have been there for the second time ... and always the only guests. Definitely not recommended.
