My Dutch bank card was not working (€11,70) due to some system error. My idea was to drive to a supermarket or bank, but the girl did not want to let me go without leaving my drivers license or mobile phone here, which was no option for me, because I would need it to be able to drive. I was very close to calling the Police. At other gas stations I have never experienced problems btw. I had to call my gf to come over and pay. The employee did not offer me any coffee. I love Germany, but I hated this experience.
